World Champions In Our Community
BestStart Hillcrest have some World Champions within our whanau. Recently we had Heelan Tomkins visit to share her experience in the Olympics. She was in the Athens and Beijing Olympics competing in Equestrian. She shared her experiences and showed the children how they transport the horses to the Olympics.
She shared some videos from the Olympics.
We played a game where we would pick a letter and then do the actions to an Olympic Sport starting with that letter.
The children learnt lots and asked lots of questions.
The following day we had World Champion TimberSports Champion Kyle Lemon drop in his Gold (x3) and Silver (x2) medals for the children yo look st and wear. The tamariki watched video’s of Kyle competing.
