Writing a CV
At BestStart we want you to Stand Up and Stand Out! This starts with your CV; this is where we first meet you and start to learn about your skillset, philosophy and more importantly who you are.
Writing a CV is hard though, where do you start? Our specialist Talent team have put together a few top tips on what we think makes a great CV:
- Write a Cover Letter – let us see your personality and understand what drives you. What do you love about ECE and what is your philosophy.
- Keep it short, and simple! Try and keep your CV to 2 pages. List your previous employment and summarise each role. Try not to be repetitive.
- List your employment in chronological order, most recent first. Anything over 10 years old is generally not relevant so you do not need to expand on these roles.
- Ensure your qualifications and any additional trainings you have done are listed. If you are studying ECE make sure this is noted on your CV!
- Include your certification details if you are a qualified teacher.
- This is your chance to brag! List your successes and be proud of them.
Most importantly, be honest and let your CV and Cover Letter be a true reflection of you.
