Young at Heart
At BestStart Cambridge, we believe in creating meaningful connections within our local community and one such relationship is the fortnightly visit we have from the local rest home. These visits provide an excellent opportunity for our learners and the elderly residents to connect and engage in meaningful activities together. The activities during these visits are tailored to suit both the children and the residents. Some of our popular activities include arts and crafts, music and movement, and story time. These visits are an important part of our curriculum as they allow for children to learn important values and beliefs such as empathy, kindness, and respect for others. These values align with the early childhood curriculum, Te Whāriki, which underpins everything we do at BestStart Cambridge.
