Zumba on the Landing

New Plymouth BestStart centres, along with Kelly and Gerry from Zumba Kids, went down to the Puke Ariki landing for a fun, fitness session. The children from BestStart Vivian Street, BestStart Mangorei Road and BestStart Lemon Street came together and all had some fun in the sun together.  The children did so well, having so much fun in a manner which promotes their physical and mental health, whilst engaging with their wider community.

Kelly and Gerry from Zumba Kids said the energy from the children has been amazing. 

"Zumba Kids classes feature child-friendly routines based on original Zumba choreography. We break down the steps, add games, activities and cultural exploration elements into the class structure.

We have lots of fun encouraging the children’s development and learning. Classes incorporate key childhood development elements like leadership, respect, team work, confidence, self-esteem, memory, creativity, coordination, cultural awareness".
