About our centre

BestStart Bayfair is a modern, purpose-built early learning centre conveniently located next to the Bayfair Shopping complex & bus stops.


We provide a rich, nurturing environment where children grow through hands-on learning, community connections, and a strong focus on school readiness. We go on regular beach walks, engage in community projects, have optional swimming lessons available, and make termly trips to Mauao.

We host regular events and celebrate the diverse cultures of our families and community within our centre. We have regular visits from local community members such as the librarian and new-entrant teachers and our Set for School programme is designed to prepare your preschool child with the necessary skills for their transition to primary school.

"There is an absolutely amazing atmosphere and BestStart Bayfair. The teachers create unforgettable experiences for kids that help them learn. The staff always goes an extra mile to make sure the activities are both fun and carry an incredible learning experience - dinosaur parks, exploding volcanoes in the sandpit, making a model of the solar system and that’s just a few. Always a great balance of quite activities and ‘action’ to burn the energy. Parents feel very connected and involved, as the staff has great communication and makes sure every family feels welcomed! Wouldn’t want any different place for our kids to grow and learn!"
