Discover our unique rooms

Both of our villas provide areas where children can work with their friends or in their own space. The resources on offer reflect children’s interests and are available for children to explore using their own individual learning styles. Although we have two separate classrooms, we are one cohesive community with the same values of growing confident learners.

Koru(Under 2's)

Koru is a Mixed age classroom from ages 3 months -2 and a half.

Koru is a calm and slow paced environment the nurtures the younger children to feel safe and secure as they explore the world around them. New experiences are set up daily based on children's development and interests. We have a big outside area, with a under cover sandpit to explore, messy play and water play areas. The Younger children in Koru  benefit from learning together in a warm, nurturing setting, where they watch and learn from their older peers, while the older children gain confidence as role models. This approach supports early socila skills, empathy and a sense of belonging, helping each chilld to grow at their own pace in a supportive environment.

Rito(Over 2's)

Rito is a vibrant and busy classroom where children lead their own experiences with guidance and support from our Kaiako. Intentional teaching is woven throughout the day, creating rich opportunities for learning in a fun and engaging environment.
Our large outdoor area offers plenty of space for exploration, concrete bike track, including a huge  sandpit, messy play areas, and a lazy river with running water. These experiences encourage creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork.

A key part of our programme is preparing children for their next big step – school. We offer a set for school promgramme which is embedded in most of our activities, and we also provide a dedicated 4-year-old mat time. During these sessions, children learn letters and numbers, practice writing their names, and develop early literacy and numeracy skills in a playful, supportive way.
We also promote independence and responsibility. Children are encouraged to take care of themselves and their belongings, fostering confidence and self-management skills that will serve them well as they transition to school.
