At BestStart Cambridge, we are working in partnership with whānau and the local community to empower our children to achieve their learning potential.

The ‘Hometown Heroes’ vision underpins our curriculum. By developing and mastering their special superhero powers, our learners are active members in our local community and supportive to those in their village/centre. We view children as unique individuals who bring their own set of superpowers with them to our centre.

Our little heroes in training are taught to protect and care for all living things while learning from everyone in our community. We go on walks to see our local flora and fauna to help develop the ability to care for wildlife and plants as well as learning to care for furry friends from the vets next door. Through the creation of our community garden filled with yummy kai, you will see our heroes learning about sustainability, recycling and helping support the wider community.

You will find us in the heart of Cambridge, in the Waikato region of New Zealand. We are in a residential area, but with established trees and the Waikato river running along the back of the property. We love our community and value the beautiful natural surroundings of Cambridge such as the Waikato River, Lake Karapiro, and the picturesque Maungatautari Ecological Reserve.
