At BestStart Greerton, we prioritize building trusting and nurturing relationships with children and their families. It's important everyone feels a sense of belonging and trust. Trust builds confidence to explore, and from here the magic of learning begins.

Located in one of Tauranga's major suburbs, our centre is a hidden gem tucked behind the local fire station. We cherish inclusivity and celebrate diversity, embracing the richness it brings to our community. Children are at the heart of all we do, and we take immense pride in fostering their well-being. Our adorable guinea pigs, one of them is named Liquorice and our friendly cockatiel, Olly, add to the warmth and joy of our centre.

Respect and care for our environment is very important to us. We encourage thoughts of Papatūānuku in our daily activities. Children learn about sustainability through activities such as recycling and building a natural playground – we even have our very own worm farm!

At BestStart Greerton, we encourage children to express their uniqueness, explore, and stay true to themselves. We value the learning that comes from diversity and foster relationships where we learn from each other and our wider community.

Our Team

We are a close-knit team with each teacher bringing their own unique skills to the table. With regular professional development and learning from one another, we are consistently upskilling to provide the best possible care and education to our BestStart Greerton family.

Our learning environments boast large indoor and outdoor areas as well as two separate classrooms which are equipped with high-quality, age-appropriate resources to support your child's learning at each stage of their development.

Our daughter has been attending BestStart Greerton for 2.5 years and it is her "happy place”. She is so loved there, I as a parent feel comfortable with all the staff and know that my little one is in great hands. I also love Storypark and getting to share with relatives that do not live in the area.

My children have been attending BestStart Greerton for 6 years now. My son has now transitioned to school and my daughter still attending the centre. In the process of enrolling my daughter into childcare, I did not think twice as to where she would attend as BestStart was my only option as not only was my son attending at the time but by then they were our 2nd family. The staff are Amazing, outgoing and most of all Supportive with not only our tamariki but with the parents and caregivers also. BestStart have been “The Best” with our children and their Learning abilities BUT also with our Pet Piggy, whom is forever humbled with a Full Tummy thanks to “Once Again” Best Start Greerton. As I said “You DONT have to think twice” Love your Forever Whanau.
