At Beststart Kelvin Grove, we are at one with child, whānau and community!

BestStart Kelvin Grove is a purpose-built centre established in September 2017 in the thriving suburb of Kelvin Grove.


The immediate subdivision has rapidly grown around us during this time and continues to develop further towards Whakarongo. Our centre is located within the Manawatū rohe, north of the Manawatū River, and west of the Tararua Ranges. We are conveniently located halfway between Palmerston North City and the Ashhurst Village. Our local kura are Cornerstone Christian School and Whakarongo School. Our visible landmarks are the surrounding Tararua Windfarm Turbines and Wharite Peak.

Our centre is a place where families are always welcome. We value the diverse cultures of our children, families and staff and work together with families to celebrate and acknowledge the values and traditions. Te Ao Māori and Tikanga practices are woven throughout our bicultural curriculum.

We make use of the rich resources in our local community to extend our learning and understanding of the world. Not only are we out and about meeting locals and discovering the local environment, we also have regular visitors from the community.
