Rooted in our unique history as the original Station Master’s home from the 1900s, our local curriculum inspires children to become explorers, researchers, and decision-makers. They connect with the community through excursions to the library, museum, and local shops, while discovering nature through activities like Nature Kindy. Children delve into their questions using technology, books, and other resources, setting personal learning goals that foster confidence and curiosity. What We Offer

• Nature-Based Learning: Children spend significant time outdoors, connecting with the natural world and fostering respect for Papatūānuku.
• Set for School Programme: Preparing children for their next educational steps through skill-building and confidence development.
• Leadership Opportunities: At age four, children join our leadership programme, receiving badges in a special ceremony. Graduates transitioning to school are celebrated with termly graduation meals.
• Cultural and Community Events: Annual celebrations such as Matariki, Diwali, Christmas, Mother’s and Father’s Day, Grandparents’ Day, and an Art Exhibition foster whanaungatanga (relationships).
• Gardening: Our veggie gardens offer hands-on learning as children harvest produce to take home.
