Our babies each have a primary caregiver whilst also being supported by all the other kaiako in that learning space. Our kaiako work closely with families to ensure care routines meet the child’s needs. Our passionate kaiako support these young children to feel safe and secure and develop strong connections.

Within the Kereru Room, kaiako provide fun and stimulating activities that help curious toddlers experience the environment using their senses to explore. We create a stimulating learning environment and provide experiences to enable social competence, independence and communication skills while learning through play.

Within the Tui Room, children are encouraged to stand up and stand out as individuals. Children experience tuakana teina moments, where older tamariki help and guide younger tamariki, as they learn to work together.

Our Set for School programme prepares tamariki for their transition to primary school. We encourage children to develop strong social competencies and support them to gain the necessary skills and attributes for when they start school.
