Located on Rongotai Road in Wellington, BestStart Montessori Rongotai is part of a diverse community blending suburban and industrial areas, providing plenty of educational, recreational and cultural opportunities for our tamariki.

Our Montessori Approach

The Montessori method is founded on the belief that children are naturally curious and capable learners. Rather than relying on teacher-led instruction, our kaiako carefully prepare the environment and observe each child to understand where they need support, allowing tamariki to explore their individual interests and learn at their own pace.

Our calm, orderly and predictable environment is thoughtfully designed to encourage independence, concentration and freedom of choice. Everything has its place and children are empowered to select activities, take responsibility for their choices and develop the self-discipline to complete their work.

Practical life experiences are also an important part of Montessori learning. Through everyday tasks and hands-on experiences, tamariki develop essential skills, confidence and self-sufficiency, helping prepare them not just for school, but for life.
