"One of the most profound strengths of this centre is the partnership and collaborative approach it takes with whānau. There is an open, ongoing dialogue between parents and Kaiako, with regular opportunities for whānau to provide input into their tamariki’s learning and development. The centre actively seeks and values whānau contributions, whether it’s in the form of cultural traditions, language support, or shared concerns (or my Mother coming to visit for a session of singing and dancing). It truly feels like a partnership where whānau and Kaiako work together for their tamariki’s well-being and growth. I really appreciated the way in which our little one’s transition could occur at our own pace with strong communication and an inviting approach which made us feel welcome and ‘at home’ from day one."
