BestStart North Harbour

BestStart North Harbour is an early learning centre located by Westfield Mall, Albany. We provide high-quality early education and award-winning childcare for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. We offer full-day and sessional education and care for children aged between 3 months to 6 years old.

At BestStart North Harbour, we value working in partnership with whānau (families) and children through building respectful and trusting relationships. Children develop and learn in a warm and nurturing environment where they are encouraged to guide their own learning and development with the support of our qualified teaching team. We also encourage developing and sustaining healthy eating and physical habits to promote healthy growth.

We provide care and education for all children through group activities and individually, developing a learning journey specific to their needs and interests by working with and communicating with parents and whānau. Our vision is to work alongside families, whanau, and communities to enable children to achieve their learning potential.

Our Team

Our friendly and approachable team of teachers take pride in making a positive difference in the lives of children by being role models. We have a strong team with a great understanding of children’s backgrounds and cultures, including our centre cook who provides nutritious and tasty meals that accommodate children's dietary and cultural requirements.

Our Spaces

Our learning areas are separated into two spaces within the centre, each designated to specific age groups. Clear windows and outdoor fences help maintain a visual connection between the two areas and the learning that takes place within these areas is reflective of the stage of development of the children.
