This learning space has separate areas indoors for walkers and non-walkers and, a covered deck area for outside play on a rainy day. The teaching team is proud of the caring, nurturing interactions with the children. We form genuine bonds with our children and whānau. Children’s home routines are supported for continuity of learning, development, and care.
Our classroom is well-resourced with a variety of materials, catering to all infant stages. We have designed an engaging and safe space to encourage our babies to learn, develop, and reach their milestones while catering to their individual needs and providing experiences for social interactions.

Unique to our centre, each classroom is named after native birds like Tui’s Nest, Kea Forest, and Kiwi Cove, tailored to specific age groups to support their developmental milestones. Our rooms are designed to reflect important values such as aroha, manaaki, whanaungatanga, tuakana-teina relationships, ako, and Te Whare Tapa Wha, guiding our daily activities and interactions.

This space provides a lovely big classroom, a covered deck for outside play on a rainy day, large and brand-new outdoor playground for the exploration of busy 2- and 3-year-olds
Our natural environment provides children endless opportunities for exploration, discovery, and wonder moments. It is within our learning environment that children can extend their physical development as they grow and learn through play. Children learn about respect for themselves, others, our resources, and the environment through positive role modeling and guidance from teachers.
We have a great team culture of respect, professionalism, and reciprocal relationships between whanau and children with creative and passionate teachers who are always discovering different ways to foster learning with the children.
Kiwi Cove4+ Years
This is a smaller room for our oldest 20 children, to engage in research and exploration as part of Set for School programme.
We have a great team of innovative teachers who are always observing, researching, and incorporating different ways to engage the children, providing meaningful experiences to enhance their learning and development. Emotional regulation and social competence are supported through the use of positive guidance and appropriate teaching strategies from the team. Our natural outdoor environment supports the children’s holistic development through physical challenges, providing problem-solving experiences and having a social environment to build relationships with others. As a team, we provide a strong focus on independence, preparing children for their transition to primary school, and being school-ready. Children’s well-being is strengthened through a range of age-appropriate spontaneous, and teacher-directed experiences
