Learning begins with Aroha

Aroha is ‘an invisible thread that connects us people, places and nature, it is the essence of nurture; an infinite multifaceted way of being’.

Here at BestStart Primrose Street, we believe Aroha is at the heart of all we do. It is the very essence and way we approach getting to know new whānau, in the way we interact and teach our tamariki and what connects us to whānau and tamariki.

We provide fresh, healthy meals and snacks each day for tamariki and our "Set for School" programme is designed to prepare our older children for primary school. We also take a bi-cultural approach to learning and celebrate different cultures within our centre.

When tamariki feel safe and secure, that is when the magic of learning can truly flourish and our experienced teaching team build strong relationships with whanau and tamariki to achieve this.
