Encouraged to get their hands dirty, take risks, and follow their sense of wonder, our children wade through long grass, search for nature’s treasures, and embrace every season. Rain or shine, winter or summer, you’ll find gumboots, overalls, and jackets put to good use.

 

As kaitiaki of our land, our children learn responsibility and care. They collect eggs, feed and water the animals, and tend to our thriving vegetable gardens. The produce they grow is shared with our community marketplace and used in our centre kitchen, where our cook incorporates it into our daily menu.

 

Our connections extend beyond our gates. We visit our local rest home regularly, building intergenerational friendships, and we enjoy a strong relationship with Puketaha School just minutes away. For our older children, the Nature Paddock programme is a highlight — a rich, hands-on experience that prepares them for the next step in their learning journey.
