Our teachers do more than just care for tamariki, we focus on supporting their development and learning. What sets us apart at Best Start Styx Mill is our team of passionate kaiako who teach from the heart. Each member of our team is dedicated to creating an environment that goes beyond traditional education – we welcome children into our Styx Mill family. Our teachers are not only skilled professionals but caring mentors who understand the importance of emotional well-being and a sense of belonging in a child's developmental journey.

Our Spaces

At Best Start Styx Mill, we prioritize individualized care and attention, with a license for 66 children, including a special focus on the unique needs of 16 children under the age of 2. Our center boasts three thoughtfully designed classrooms, each catering to specific developmental stages. Kakano, our nurturing nursery, provides a safe haven for infants up to 2 years old. Tipu, our engaging preschool environment, supports children up to around 3.5 years, fostering curiosity and early social skills. Finally, Pihinga, our vibrant prep school, caters to children over 3.5, preparing them for the exciting journey ahead in their educational endeavors.
