At BestStart Taradale, we aim to grow curious and confident learners through respectful & reciprocal relationships with whanau, children and teachers. These relationships are fundamental within our learning community and are at the heart of everything we do.

We encourage curiosity and creativity through nature-inspired spaces, hands-on learning and cultural connections. We support children in developing a positive sense of identity by valuing their culture, language, and culture while encouraging tamariki to respect and appreciate their own and others’ cultural backgrounds.

We develop foundations for learning, where children are supported to become happy, confident problem solvers. We believe children develop lifelong dispositions to learn through play and by engaging in a variety of planned and spontaneous experiences.
