Our centre is nestled in the heart of Te Atatu Peninsula, a vibrant and diverse community. We team up with local schools to teach kids about different cultures and make sure everyone feels included. We make learning special for each child and help them get to know their community, so they can understand the world around them.

At BestStart Te Atatu Road, we think trust is super important. We talk openly with families and make sure they feel important and heard. We work together with families to help each child grow and learn. We know it's really helpful for kids to move smoothly within our centre, and especially when moving to primary school. This builds their confidence and helps them be more independent for the next step in their learning adventure.

One thing is clear, we're not just a centre - we're a family, a community, and a support system for every child and family that walks through our doors.

Our Team

We all believe in the same goal, to do our very best in developing whanaungatanga (stong connections) with tamariki (children) and whanau (families). We value parent feedback, and aspirations, which help us learn and grow together. We also love celebrating different cultures and going on fun trips into our local community. It's all about building strong bonds with everyone involved!

What We Offer

  • 20 hours free for 3-5 year olds and WINZ subsidies available* if required
  • Experienced tight-knit team of passionate teachers
  • Open 7am - 6pm every weekday

My daughter was filled with enthusiasm and activities which were designed to stimulate and cater for her personal interests, thus her development accelerated noticeably. The teachers taught her a diverse set of skills, constantly fed her imagination and encouraged her to try new things. She would come home each day very happy, full of life and desperate to share her new song of the day. The transition through to the pre-school room was made easily and here she continued to grow with new challenging activities, new friendships and new teachers to learn from. This centre has been hugely accommodating to our family needs and we have really appreciated their flexibility, understanding and open door policy.
