Our centre is conveniently located close to Taupō’s town centre and we offer tamariki rich opportunities to connect with their community and environment. 

We engage in regular centre excursions to the community, such as the local rest home to foster intergenerational connections and empathy, or engage in programmes like Kids Bike Taupō and Kids Greening Taupō throughout the term. We also take part in the Tūwharetoa Festival each year and our "Set for School" programme prepares each child for their transition to primary school and the next step in their learning journey.

Our approach is guided by a play‑based curriculum where children’s interests and passions lead the way. Kaiako respond attentively to each child’s cues, encouraging exploration, discovery, and growth. We see the environment as a vital teacher, inspiring tamariki to care for Papatūānuku and make thoughtful, sustainable choices.

Our dedicated teaching team aims to nurture the confidence of our tamariki and encourage values around sustainability and a love for the outdoors. As a proudly multicultural centre, we celebrate diversity and ensure every child’s identity, language, and culture are valued & celebrated through collaboration with whānau, iwi, and community partners. By embracing inclusivity and the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, we create a welcoming space where tamariki thrive as confident, connected learners.
