Our nursery is a small and calm environment where the children can explore and learn through play. We have a strong focus on each individual child’s care and learning and endeavor to follow children's home routines.

We value respectful, authentic and responsive interactions in this room. We keep tamariki informed about what is happening around them and allowing their contribution to any care routines so they can take part in their care moments.

Our preschool is the perfect transition from our Nursery, as it is still a very caring space but allows for more freedom and independence that tamariki are seeking at this age.

We provide a fun, creative and caring environment where we celebrate our diversity and enjoy the fun each persons uniqueness brings. Activities are planned around the children's interests.

Communication is also important in this room and we use rich language, encouraging the use of both verbal and non-verbal skills to communicate and resolve conflicts. Supporting children to express themselves in a variety of different ways helps provide them with skills and strategies to build and maintain relationships with others.

The Prep room is more structured and encourages a positive attitude towards learning. We want children in this room to love learning so they feel excited for the transition to primary school, we also want to ensure they are well equipped with the skills and foundations they need to excel as they take on more independence and deepen their learning.

In this room we have a Set for School programme which creates a focus on emotional competence and self management in addition to literacy and numeracy and our environment is set to spark curiosity, encourage collaboration and strengthen communication.
