BestStart Whangaparaoa is an early learning centre located in Arkles Bay. We provide high-quality early education and award-winning childcare for children aged between 3 months to 6 years old.

BestStart Whangaparaoa believes in incorporating the local community and environment into our learning and we are very lucky to be located within walking distance to all things Coast related, including the library across the road, Countdown, Arkles Bay Beach, and many other popular Coast cafes and beaches. Excursions are a significant part of our programme and we believe in the importance of providing children with real-life experiences within the community and utilising these close amenities to plan social walks with small groups of children.

We bring the Coast to life with our Reggio-inspired teaching style and our surrounding areas are reflected through our learning environments. Within our centre, you will see glass jars with sand from our local beaches, the local beaches' names frosted into the classroom doors, and relaxed learning environments with highly engaged children and teachers ready to welcome you. We also hold regular parent events so you can meet and get to know other families in the community.

We are a friendly and welcoming team of qualified teachers and, being locals ourselves, understand the importance of establishing strong relationships with families and the local community. Our feedback is always letting us know how much families love our strong relationships with whanau, and we put these relationships at the forefront of everything we do to support your child's learning and care.
