Discover our unique rooms

At Freckles, children experience environments where creativity, imagination and the wonder of learning flourish. We provide a safe, warm and nurturing space where your child can grow and thrive.

Our modern, purpose-built facilities are bright, open and spacious, featuring an extensive range of thoughtfully chosen, age-appropriate resources that spark curiosity and inspire learning.

We also believe deeply in the power of nature. Our beautiful, expansive outdoor areas give children the freedom to explore, play and connect with the world around them.

Our indoor and outdoor spaces exceed national size requirements—because we know children need room to move, play and discover!

Nursery (Kākano)3 months–2 years

Our Nursery is a calm, nurturing space where our youngest tamariki feel safe, loved and truly at home. With responsive primary caregiving, close relationships and a 1:4 ratio, each child is supported to explore the world at their own pace. Individual care notebooks keep families closely connected to their child’s day.

Preschool (Koru)2–3½ years

Our Preschool is a vibrant, well-resourced environment where curious minds are encouraged to explore, discover and learn through play. With a 1:8 ratio and a dedicated key teacher, children are supported to grow in confidence, independence, social skills and creativity.

Prep School (Puāwai)3½–5 years

Our Prep School provides an inspiring environment that encourages curiosity, problem-solving and collaboration. With a 1:10 ratio and a dedicated key teacher, children are supported through our Set for School programme, including regular visits from new entrant teachers and visits to local schools, to build the skills and confidence needed for a smooth transition to school.
