Wattie's Cans for Good
BestStart Greenmeadows was happy once again to participate in the annual Salvation Army Wattie's Cans for Good.
This is an important initiative for us as part of our curriculum is to encourage children to be active, caring members of their community. We have strong family links to the Salvation Army and love to offer our support.
Our tamariki and whanau have been busy bringing in canned food over the past two weeks . This has been a great learning opportunity to talk with our tamariki about how the cans are for people in our community who need our help.
One of our BestStart Greenmeadows values is social competency and manaakitanga. In response we support our tamariki to be kind and empathetic. We finished our collection with a fun-filled red dress up day to celebrate.
