At the Young Children’s Centre, we came together to celebrate Easter with lots of joy and excitement.
The children were absolutely filled with energy, exploring a wide range of Easter-themed activities that sparked their creativity and imagination.
We kicked off the week with a variety of Easter arts and crafts, where the children had the chance to get their hands busy making festive creations. One of the highlights was crafting their very own bunny ears! The room quickly filled with laughter and giggles as the children donned their ears and hopped around the room, pretending to be Easter bunnies. Their imaginative play was absolutely heartwarming to watch!
Next up, we moved into the kitchen for a fun and delicious baking session. The children rolled out dough, cut out bunny-shaped cookies, and then decorated them with bright pink icing and sprinkles. The air was filled with the sweet aroma of freshly baked treats, and the children's faces were beaming with pride as they admired their colourful, tasty creations. It was a wonderful opportunity for the children to engage in hands-on learning while enjoying a sweet reward for all their hard work.
The biggest highlight of all was the surprise visit from the Easter Bunny! The children could hardly contain their excitement when they discovered that the Easter Bunny had left behind an Easter egg hunt for them. They eagerly searched high and low around the centre, uncovering brightly coloured eggs and yummy chocolate treats hidden all around. It was a truly magical moment as the children revelled in the joy of the hunt, with smiles all around as they filled their baskets with Easter goodies.
Throughout the week, there was a wonderful sense of togetherness as the children came together to celebrate and create memories. From arts and crafts to baking and the egg hunt, it was clear that the activities fostered a sense of community and shared joy among the children. It was a beautiful reminder of the importance of connection, creativity, and fun in the learning process.
A huge thank you to everyone who made this Easter celebration so special. We hope you’ve had a wonderful Easter weekend, and we look forward to more joyful celebrations in the future. Ka pai to all the little ones for their creativity, enthusiasm, and fun-loving spirits—it truly was a week to remember!
