A roaring success
Our very cool school holiday activity sessions from BestStart's book Bright Ideas for Young Minds were a great success. We ran 4 sessions open to the public over the summer holiday at our local library, each with a different activity from the book.
Our first session was "We're going on a Bear Hunt". We set up a trail of bear footprints (with a few obstacles along the way), posted bear pictures the children had to find and finished by decorating bear prints. We started with some cool bear songs, a parachute bear ride and even had a visit from Care Bear who lost his ear. The children helped him decorate his new ears and enjoyed playing with the display of teddy bears provided by our local library.
What a great success the sessions were - we hope to continue them next school holidays too!
