BestStart Kelvin Grove's Kōwhai room tamariki have been learning all about the underwater world. We read books about the different sea creatures and plants that live in the sea.

An underwater provocation was set up which allowed our tamariki to feel the texture of different seaweed, seashells and pumus rocks. They thoroughly enjoyed this activity and loved playing with the miniature sea creatures.

Tamariki got creative with Sandra and made a “hugenormous” fish and “silly jellyfish”.

Our tamariki have been very interested in painting at the moment and have enjoyed painting with different tools, such as leaves, rollers, paint brushes (big and small) and a favourite, fingers!

In April we celebrated Easter, and it was the school holidays. Over the holidays there was a range of exciting activities such as dying t.shirts, PJ day and Wheels day.
