It has been an action-packed few weeks here at Nga Puawai!
Our outdoor environment has undergone a beautiful transformation, and our tamariki have been the heart of this journey.
From the first seeds planted in our raised beds to the daily care of our growing greens, the children have embraced their roles as little kaitiaki (guardians) of the garden.
We’ve been focusing on involving the children in everyday chores, teaching them the value of looking after our shared spaces. Whether it’s carefully watering the vegetables or helping clear away garden debris, their sense of pride and responsibility is shining through!
Easter Celebrations & Special Visits Life isn't all work and no play, though! We had a fantastic Easter celebration filled with joy. The highlights were definitely the messy, delicious ice cream treats and the high-energy Easter egg hunt that had everyone scouring the yard for hidden treasures.
To top off our busy term, we welcomed a very special guest: our Plunket Nurse, Rhian Jones. She spent time chatting with the kaiako about healthy habits and generously gifted everyone their very own toothbrush and toothpaste kit.
It was the perfect way to wrap up a term centered on growth, care, and healthy, happy smiles!
