BestStart Dey Welcome Japanese Playgroup
We invited the Japanese Play group to our centre. This was a great opportunity for us to learn more about the Japanese culture and share with them more about Aotearoa as this was something they wanted to learn more about. The lovely mum's had brought in some cool activities for our children and they taught our children how to make origami stars as they thought this will fit in well with the center's current planning around "Matariki".
The children engaged in different experiences and the joined the children at kai time. Our children made them some special "taonga" to take say thank you for coming over for a play and sharing and teaching them with new knowledge.
We aim to keep this relationship going with this Japanese community and we will be making a visit to their playgroup as well.
