Wow! What an amazing trip we had to Butterfly Creek. This was one of the highlights during this year for the whole centre which was full of laughter, surprises and enjoyment throughout the trip. Currently our tamariki are interested in "Me and My World Around Me and Under The Sea", so we thought this trip would be very beneficial for our tamariki to enhance their learning. During the trip there were so many things to do and see and our wonderful parent helpers took great care of children as we went from place to place. At the butterfly house, butterflies were flapping, We were surrounded by giant dinosaurs with unusual names who peered at us through the foliage, then we went through wetlands where otters kept us entertained even though the weather was bit unpredictable, eels in a group and an Octopus floating. After this we went past giant dinosaurs, visited beautiful mermaids, singing unicorns  and beautiful fairies hanging in the garden. Then it was the time to have fun with some farm animals, Some children had a chance to pat the bunnies, and feed the singing birds. We saw a pig, lama, sheep and goats. The train ride was one of the highlights as we all went past roaring dinosaurs. The crocodile show was riveting as we watched intently to see Goldie (croc) looking for some lunch. We are glad that this Butterfly Creek Trip experience will be one of the memorable ones of this year. Precious learning moments for Tamariki, happy whanau and satisfied Kaiako. Well Done!!!
