BestStart Newmarket's Sports Day
Today the children at BestStart Newmarket celebrated Sports Day, displaying their team spirit and practising Haoura (physical literacy). The children came along to school dressed in their favourite sportswear. We started with a warm up dance to get the children ready for the sport activities. The children engaged in many sports activities such as jumping hurdles, hula hoops and ball games. The running races were very popular with the children as well. They were equally excited while playing games. They were cheering up their friends with great enthusiasm and zeal. The teachers and the children also geared up for the Rugby World Cup so we practised playing rippa rugby. The event helped them develop to be patient, cooperative, responsible and playful. We had such a fun day!
