BestStart Styx Mill Olympics 2021
Here at BestStart Styx Mill, our tamariki have been showing an interest in the Olympics as they have been watching at home with their whānau. Today we decided to set up a Styx Mills Olympic day where the tamariki enjoyed participating in rowing, high jump, long jump, shot put and running! The tamariki had so much fun trying out all these activities (as did the teachers).
During the afternoon we had a medal ceremony where everyone got given a Styx Mill Olympics medal - the tamariki were so proud to receive one!
This experience gave the tamariki a chance to work on their physical gross motor skills, work together with their peers and build on their interest of the olympics!
