BestStart Tory Street helping the community!
The children at BestStart Tory Street looked very bright and happy wearing yellow for Daffodil Day. We took a group of children down to Cuba Mall to collect donations for Daffodil day. We looked very cute dressed in our yellow clothes.
The children said, “Good Morning. Happy Daffodil Day. Would you like to donate some money?” to every person that walked by. We talked to the children about where the money was going and how they were helping people that weren’t very well.
The community were very receptive, and we raised a large sum. We heard a few stories from people who had been affected in some way by cancer and were very grateful of our efforts in raising this money. We were even gifted a bunch of real daffodils on our way back to the centre.
