New Year, New Learning at Our ECE Centre

As the new year begins, we are thrilled to welcome our tamariki back from their holiday break. It’s wonderful to see their joyful smiles and excitement as they play and explore again. They are full of energy and ready to learn new things!

Celebrating Transitions

Some of our learners have begun transitioning to the Pūkeko room, marking an exciting milestone in their growth and development. Seeing them grow into confident and capable explorers has been an incredible journey. As we help them adjust to their new environment, we celebrate their readiness to embrace new challenges and opportunities in the Pūkeko room.

Welcoming New Faces

We are excited to welcome two new babies, AJ and Marphy, who will be part of our room this month. We are thrilled to assist them in growing and reaching every milestone.

Fun and Engaging Activities

Our kaiako have been planning various fun and age-appropriate activities that focus on the 16 areas of play to help our babies and toddlers learn through play. Additionally, we provide activities that support their developmental growth. These include:

  • Sensory Play: Exploring with water, textures, and other materials that enhance learning through the senses.
  • Social Play: Engaging in activities that teach them to play together, take turns, and make friends.
  • Hands-On Activities: Creative and enjoyable tasks like painting, building, and pretend play that aid in developing skills and imagination.

At our centre, we aim for every child to feel safe, happy, and eager to learn. With support from their friends, teachers, and whānau, we are confident that this year will be filled with wonderful moments.

We can’t wait to see all the amazing things our tamariki will accomplish in 2025! Let’s make this year full of fun, learning, and growth.
