We had an incredible time celebrating Halloween with our tamariki and kaiako!
The centre was filled with excitement, creativity, and plenty of festive fun🧡
Our classrooms were transformed with engaging provocations that encouraged exploration, imagination, and play. The children loved getting hands-on with spooky-themed activities — one of the favourites being our creative spider handprints and bubble wrap pumpkin painting where tamariki experimented with paint, textures, and shapes to make their very own Halloween art. 🕷️
Our talented kaiako also joined in the fun by crafting unique Halloween props using reused paper bags, showing how sustainability and creativity can come together beautifully. Their resourceful ideas inspired the tamariki to think about how everyday materials can be turned into something imaginative and new. Adding to the excitement, our tamariki looked absolutely amazing in their Halloween costumes!
From friendly ghosts to colourful pumpkins, each costume added a special touch to the day’s celebrations. Everyone joined in with laughter, dance, and storytelling, making it a truly memorable experience. It was a joyful day filled with connection, laughter, and creativity — a perfect reminder of how special it is when learning and fun come together at BestStart Hanley’s Farm. 🕸️✨🧡
