Celebrating Father’s Day at BestStart Botany Junction
At our centre, we focus on building responsive and respectful relationships with children and whānau. By involving parents in centre activities, we help children develop a strong sense of belonging, reinforcing their connection to the community and enhancing their overall learning experience.
Recently, we had a wonderful time celebrating Father’s Day! The atmosphere was filled with joy and laughter as children and their dads came together for a memorable morning. In preparation for this special day, the children engaged in creative activities, making beautiful artwork and decorating cups and wooden shirt frames. It was heartwarming to see their unique creations, filled with love and thoughtfulness, which they proudly presented to their fathers.
We hosted a delightful morning tea, thoughtfully prepared by our staff. The children enjoyed sharing tasty treats with their dads, creating special moments over delicious food and heartfelt conversations. Our walls were adorned with vibrant decorations and photos capturing the day’s events, providing a colourful backdrop for everyone to enjoy.
We also organised fun games that encouraged playful interaction between dads and their children. It was a joy to see the smiles on their faces as they competed and laughed together, with small gifts as rewards.
This Father’s Day celebration not only strengthened the bonds between fathers and children but also created lasting memories for everyone involved. We look forward to more joyful celebrations like this in the future!
