We had a wonderful time celebrating Mother’s Day at our centre!

We hosted a special afternoon tea and invited all the amazing mums, as well as other important people in the children’s lives, to join us.

It was a lovely opportunity for the tamariki to spend time with their loved ones. Everyone enjoyed delicious treats during afternoon tea. The tamariki and their whānau engaged in fun and creative activities, including painting, colouring, cutting, gluing, and even some literacy-based tasks such as completing letter worksheets and reading stories together. Some families also enjoyed building with blocks, which created lots of joyful and memorable moments. To make this day even more special, the tamariki gifted their handmade presents to their mums in the few days before Mother’s Day. They created beautiful, personalised candles by dipping them into water mixed with drops of nail polish, resulting in unique and colourful patterns. The mums were touched to receive such thoughtful gifts. Through participating in these shared experiences, the tamariki strengthened their sense of belonging, deepened their emotional connections. Thank you to all the whānau who joined us to celebrate this special day. Your presence made the day truly meaningful and memorable for the tamariki.
