This week, we celebrated an exciting milestone at our centre—our very first full year of PlayBall!
To mark the end of another energetic and joy‑filled season, our tamariki took part in a final PlayBall session followed by a special medal ceremony to honour all their hard work, determination, and growth over the year.
Throughout 2025, our PlayBall programme has offered tamariki a fun and meaningful way to build confidence, develop physical skills, and strengthen teamwork.
Each weekly session brings new challenges and opportunities—whether it’s mastering a new throw, learning to dribble, or simply giving something a go with a big smile. During our final session, we watched our PlayBallers shine.
One child, who at the start of the year was still finding their confidence, impressed us all with their perseverance—running onto the court with enthusiasm, trying each activity with focus, and celebrating each success with pride. Moments like these remind us just how powerful play‑based learning can be for our tamariki.
To finish the celebration, our PlayBall coach, Jess presented each child with a special medal and report, acknowledging not only their skills, but also their teamwork, resilience, and positive attitude. The beaming smiles said it all!
We are incredibly proud of our PlayBall superstars and grateful to our kaiako and whaanau for supporting this programme throughout the year.
We can’t wait to continue growing, learning, and having fun together in 2026.
