Celebrating Samoa!

What a fantastic time we had celebrating Samoan Language Week at BestStart Greenmeadows.  The children had the opportunity to enjoy Samoan songs, dance and language. We invited Jesome's Mum Monika, to come and help prepare sapasui for the children to enjoy.  Monika said a Samoan prayer before we all enjoyed the kai.  Jesmone's siblings played games with our tamariki and together we did a  siva.  This was so much fun and a fantastic way to connect with Jesome and his whanau, the wider community and for the tamariki to experience  another culture.
