Celebrating the Olympics
In the Nursery at BestStart Wainoni we celebrated the Olympics in our own way this week. Different activities were organised each day and tamariki (children) enjoyed participating in them.
On the first day tamariki enjoyed getting involved in an art activity and made their own Olympic rings with five different colours. They were so excited to see lots of colours and spent time creating alongside each other.
The next day, our kaiako (teacher) Shell made some medals with the dough and we all enjoyed painting them. We were lucky to have a lovely day outside, so we organised a few races and children enjoyed participating. They got the opportunity to develop their physical, language and social skills while engaging in all these activities.
