Everyone at BestStart Pipiwai Road was excited to celebrate a very special milestone as Zara May Hutchison reached 10 years of service with BestStart. It was a wonderful opportunity to recognise her dedication, kindness, and passion for early childhood education.
Zara is the Head Teacher in our Under Twos space. She is a caring and passionate teacher who always puts the needs of our tamariki first. She works closely with her team to create a safe, warm, and welcoming environment where every child feels loved, respected, and encouraged to learn through play. Her leadership helps the team provide meaningful learning experiences that support each child's growth and development.
Zara has also built strong relationships with our whānau. Her friendly nature and open communication help families feel connected and confident that their children are receiving the best possible care and education. She also supports tamariki as they prepare for their transition into our Over Twos space, helping to make this an exciting and positive step in their learning journey.
Outside of work, Zara is a loving partner and a proud mother of two children. She brings the same care, patience, and compassion she shows her own family into her role at BestStart Pipiwai Road every day.
We celebrated Zara's special achievement during mat time with all the tamariki and teachers. We sang songs together, shared our appreciation, and surprised her with gifts and some of her favourite treats. It was a joyful celebration filled with smiles, laughter, and gratitude for everything Zara has contributed over the past 10 years.
Thank you, Zara, for your commitment, leadership, and the positive difference you make in the lives of our tamariki, whānau, and teaching team. We are incredibly proud to celebrate this milestone with you and look forward to many more wonderful years together.
