Christmas 2023
Christmas 2023 what a great time of year. The tamariki enjoyed decorating the centre in preparation for the big party.
We had a dress up day and then our party began at 5:30 with a disco in the Pukeko Room! We had a giant disco ball, party lights and a bubble machine. The Tuatara room was the hub for the BBQ. This was generously cooked by some of the centre Dads and tasted amazing! The weather was amazing which meant we had a lot of fun outside too - with a bouncy castle, a candy floss machine and a visit from Mr Whippy who gave us all ice cream and milkshakes for dessert!
Part way through our even the children performed for our families. They were so proud up on the stage and showed a strong sense of mana as they sung their hearts out to Christmas and Polyfest songs they had learnt throughout the year.
Thank you to all our centre families for their support throughout 2023! We cant wait to host more whanau events in 2024 and more spend time getting to know our extended centre whanau!
Te Whariki our Early childhood curriculum tells us that celebrations and the like can be important for establishing a sense of belonging, something that is important to us here at BestStart North Road.
