Tamariki have been busy bringing their imaginative ideas to life through a variety of art experiences as we prepare for our upcoming celebrations.
From candy cane marble artworks to bright cotton tip Christmas lights and popsicle-stick Christmas trees, creativity is happening in every corner! At BestStart Barrington, we know tamariki thrive in environments where they can explore, experiment, and express themselves. That’s why we provide an inviting, well-resourced creative space filled with a wide range of materials and plenty of time for children to discover new ways to be creative.
Through these early art experiences, tamariki are developing so much more than beautiful creations. As they experiment with small craft items, brushes, colours, textures, and techniques, they strengthen important fine motor skills that support early writing. Their creativity and imagination flourish as they explore new ways to express their ideas. Creating alongside peers helps build social confidence and cooperation, while discussing their artwork and sharing their thinking supports language development and rich communication.
