Cicada hunting

Last week we organised a trip down to the riverbank where a group of BestStart Melling children and teachers had a blast looking for cicadas shells and they didn't have to go very far to find them. 

They collected lots of shells and Leo, being the bravest, brought back a live cicada to show everybody at preschool. 

The children had lots of space to run around and kick some balls as well as climb some trees. Such an awesome opportunity for children to explore our wider community.
