Connecting at home
At BestStart Petone relationships with our whanau and children are at the heart of what we do each day. Our passionate teachers work in partnership with parents to support children's learning potential. For us this did not change during the course of New Zealand’s Covid19 response where we were all at home.
Our passionate and dedicated teachers took this on themselves to find new, fun and exciting ways to support our children’s learning from home virtually through our BestStart@ Home initiative. As you can see in the video daily scavenger hunts were quite popular. We have also had virtual activity sessions, mat times, virtual bush walks, storytelling, one on one video calls with a teacher, as well as many more shared adventures. What fun being at home can be with BestStart @ home!
At BestStart Petone we are proud of our community involvement near or far we are here to teach, learn and nuture however is needed.
