Day 4 of our Plunket Week Appeal
It's Day 4 of Plunket Appeal week and today the children held their garage sale at Regent kindy. With the helping hands of the children, we first made posters and signs to invite people to visit us. Then, the children also set up a counter for collecting money from buyers in the Plunket donation bucket. There were great bargains of new and pre-loved items such as children's and adults' clothes, shoes, as well as toys. All the items for sale were kindly donated by our whanau. The donated items became gifts for other people who benefitted from the whopping dollar deals. Together with their kaiako the children / shopkeepers counted the coins and notes they collected. Ka pai to mahi, nga tamariki! All the profit gathered from the garage sale will be donated for the cause of the Plunket nurses who take care of children all over New Zealand. Thank you very much once again to our whanau and nga tamariki for working together to make this fundraising activity a huge success.
