At BestStart Te Awamutu, our pēpi enjoyed a very special day filled with exploration, celebration, and joy as we combined our Easter egg hunt with a fun dress-up day.
Tamariki arrived dressed in adorable Easter-themed outfits, bringing a festive and playful feel to the day.
Out in the playground, kaiako created an egg hunt, placing eggs in safe and easy-to-reach spaces. Our pēpi eagerly moved through the outdoor area, crawling, walking, and reaching, to discover the hidden treasures. Each egg held a magical surprise inside… bubbles!
As they were opened, bubbles floated into the air, sparking delight, laughter, and curiosity. This experience supported physical development as tamariki practised movement and coordination, while also encouraging exploration and confidence in the outdoor environment.
The bubbles added a sensory element, promoting visual tracking and cause-and-effect learning. The day was filled with laughter, exploration, and a strong sense of togetherness, creating meaningful learning experiences in a warm and festive environment.
