Edukids East Tamaki Parent Information Evening.
The teaching team gave a short presentation about the way they support children's learning and development at each level and supporting them to get ready for school. Parents were involved in hands-on activity to make them aware of progression in hand writing skills. Our guest speakers were Sanjeeta Prasad and Amy Faapoi from Ministry of Education who gave a short presentation on the way we can support children's growing oral language skills. They spoke about the ways children progress in developing oral language, and what strategies parents can use at home to enhance this. They also brought printed resources that were given to the families.
