Father's Day at BestStart Newmarket
Today we celebrated Fathers’ Day at BestStart Newmarket to acknowledge the important role that Dads play in a child’s life. The children had been looking forward to this occasion as they made presents and cards for their fathers and practised some songs to perform. Some children could not wait to present the gifts to their dads while some preferred to keep it a secret until the day arrived. Many fathers managed to squeeze in time from their busy schedule to attend our Father's Day Afternoon Tea-- enjoying the performance, gifts and cards presented by their little ones, followed by the food provided.
Our Father's Day celebration in the centre helped children learn how we celebrate special occasions as a community as well as develop their sense of identity, having their fathers attend and spend time with them in our centre. It was a great day had by all!
